Okey dokey, here is an example of how the shots are worked....

Within each group there are two individual matches, and then a four ball match – a total of three points up for grabs.

If you get 12 shots, you get shots on the 12 hardest holes - stroke index 1 to 12.

Example below

  EUROPE                            USA

  Houlds   4                         Poaks  6

  Shires    18                       Rich 10

In this scenario:

match one: Houlds gives Poaks 2 shots

match two: Rich gives Shires 8 shots

match three: is the group match: all shots are taken from the lowest handicap

-  Houlds is lowest and gets no shots

-  Poaks gets 2

-  Rich gets 6

-  Shires gets 14
